Malt Extracts

Briess malt extracts are 100% pure malt extracts, produced in a state-of-the-art 500-barrel brewhouse. All flavor and color is developed from malt, not from additional boil time or temperature. Because the grains have already been mashed and converted, they offer ease of processing to distillers.

Most Briess malt extracts are available in both LME (liquid malt extract) and DME (dry malt extract), and are offered in a variety of pack sizes.

CBW® Bavarian Wheat DME

Neutral, malty

This is a 100% pure malt extract made from 65% Malted Wheat and 35% Malted barley, and water. It can be used in the production of extract wheat beers, and in the production of all-grain beers to adjust color, flavor, and gravity of wheat and other styles of beers.

This is a 100% pure malt extract made from 50% base malt, 50% Bonlander® Munich Malt 10L, and water. It produces a very rich, malty, amber-colored extract. It is a European-style Munich Malt characterized by clean, slightly sweet, rich malty flavor and contributes golden amber leaning toward orange hues.
