USDA Certified Organic
Briess became the first malting company to gain organic certification when that was achieved in 1990. Our organic certifying agency is Oregon Tilth. Briess organic ingredients are USDA Certified Organic, which means they meet all requirements set forth by the USDA National Organic Program.
Briess is also a member of the Organic Trade Association. In addition to our standard line of certified organic malts and ingredients, Briess can produce any malt and many ingredients as certified organic depending on availability of raw materials. Minimum order size and lead time are required for custom orders. Organic products are segregated from conventional malts.
Kosher Certified
All ingredients produced at Briess manufacturing plants and contracted plants are Kosher Certified. Certifying agency is United Mehadrin Kosher (UMK). The agency certifies that all Briess manufacturing plants are Kosher, and that Briess purchases only Kosher-Certified raw materials. Kosher certificates are available upon request from your Customer Service representative.
